We are searching for several experienced iOS Engineers to work on a contract basis for a client of ours in Portland, OR. This position will begin as a 6 + month contract, but will likely extend after that. Tasked with developing premium native experience for customers, in this role you will deliver well designed, highly testable, and resilient applications. You will be instrumental in driving our client''s mobile technology roadmap forward and evangelizing mobile development and testing practices for a growing team with a fantastic organization. Successful candidates will be deeply experienced with iOS development and team players that thrive in a collaborative Agile environment.
Required:
3-5 years software engineering experience
Fluent in Swift with a passion for the language
Experience in Objective-C
Experience with core iOS frameworks such as CoreAnimation, HealthKit, SQLite, etc.
Experience developing, delivering, and supporting multiple native iOS applications through the App Store
Experience designing, developing and delivering Frameworks and documentation to technical customers
Expert-level knowledge of iOS SDK, iOS versions, and popular devices
Experience designing mobile applications to consume server-based REST APIs
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, MVC architecture, and iOS design patterns
Deep understanding of multi-threading, memory management, networking, caching, performance optimization, localization, and security for mobile applications
Experience with modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit testing, test driven development, static analysis, and automated integration tests
Experience with performance profiling tools like Instruments and Shark
Working knowledge of Scrum and other Agile practices
Desired:
Front end web development experience is a plus
eCommerce experience is a plus
