Role : DITA XML Engineer
Location : RTP, NC
Duration : Long Term

Are you an experienced XML and XSLT developer?
Do you have a background in technical writing /publishing or content management systems?
Are you able to jump into existing code and make it your own?
Then join us at the client, where we''re looking for a developer to help us maintain and expand our XML authoring, CMS, and publishing tools to support a growing technical content development organization.

You Have:
Strong XML, XPath/XQuery and XSLT development skills.
A working knowledge of the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) and the DITA Open Toolkit (DITA-OT
Experience creating custom DITA-OT plugins.
Familiarity with the Java programming language.
Experience with one or more Component Content Management Systems (CCMS)
Strong customer service skills
Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A four year degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent experience.
You Might Also Have:
Familiarity with XML editing tools such as oXygen.
A background in managing/configuring/customizing customer-facing Content Management Systems to which DITA content is published.
Experience developing/configuring authoring templates and forms for subject matter experts (SMEs) to easily leverage for content creation.
Familiarity with Schematron, Subject Scheme, or other means to streamline the DITA authoring experience.
