Role: Agile Scrum Master

Manages large projects or high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration ensuring adherence to project management Experienced Project Manager / Scrum Master responsible for the scrum team(s) in support of various projects. Manages large initiatives, which often requires cross organization coordination. Responsible for monitoring /facilitating the scrum processes and scrum meetings. Assist with the adoption of an Agile mind-set across the organization. Utilizing agile tools, increases team efficiency, motivates the team, champion for changes that will support agile best practices. Willing to share knowledge and coach other Scrum Masters. Prefer strong Project Management background and experience. Ensures adherence to SDLC project management controls and procedures as they align with Agile processes. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Supports the team as a Servant Leader and is an effective communicator at all levels. PMP certification preferred.
- Adept at finding techniques that are effective and efficient in managing Product Backlogs.
- Ability to articulate the items in the Product Backlogs.
- Demonstrate an understanding of product planning in an empirical environment.
- Helps to maintain the "big picture" in the team.
- Help in arranging Product Backlog items that will maximize value.
- Demonstrate mastery of agility.
- Soft skills like situational awareness, servant leadership, empowerment, facilitation, conflict resolution, continual improvement, and increasing transparency.
- Knowledge in well-documented patterns and techniques to report and understand burndown technologies, handling bugs, and various Retrospective formats etc.
- Schedule workshops for product development flow and principles.
- Initiate a release planning to help the team see beyond sprints and see the long-term view of the company.
- Teach, and train Product Owners do a release forecast to help him communicate expectations to other stakeholders.
- Schedule and conduct various workshops, i.e., story mapping.
- Ensures SDLC and project processes that are aligned to Agile are enforced.
- Develops progress reports, documentation and presentations to key stakeholders including executive sponsors.
- Encourage the use of Agile Engineering Practices especially within the development team.
- Strong Project Manager background and experience.
- Develops and maintains all business relationships vital to the success of delivery.
- Consults and provides guidance in determining delivery solutions.
- Guides team through buy vs. build options, hosting options and RFI/RFP processes, if necessary.

Additional Job Description
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Requires seven to ten years of project management experience working with cross-functional teams and staff of all levels.
- At least 2 -5 years experience as Scrum Master role in a software development team with a strong implementation of Scrum principles, frameworks, theory, and practices.
- Responsible for the scrum team(s), digital experience is preferred.
- PMP, CSM, PMP/ACP certification preferred.
- Requires experience with project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK and PRINCE2).
- Some awareness and experience in widely successful Agile techniques like User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, ATDD, Continuous Testing, Automated Testing, Pairing, and Agile Games.
- Knowledge and experience in the technologies being used by the team.
- Experience in using well-documented patterns and techniques for the gaps in the Scrum approach (example: various many Retrospective formats, burn down technologies, handling bugs, etc.).
- Exception communication and mentoring skills.
- General software product development experience.
- Requires working knowledge of application development technologies, as well as, client-server, web, and cloud based architectures.
- Additional years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio, and SharePoint.
- Requires effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Requires strong leadership skills to coordinate and motivate project teams.
- Strong financial management to administer budgets across projects and ensure the projects meet requirements for return on investment.
- Requires working knowledge of database architecture, data warehousing architecture and batch operations.
- Requires knowledge of IT security best practices and IT audit experience.
