Job Title: Athena - Project Manager

Location: Positions are remote, but we expect to travel to the customer during Activation/Live

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Athenahealth team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Athena platform and a passion for helping clients achieve their goals through successful onboarding and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team responsible for client onboarding and support activities.
  2. Act as an Athenahealth champion, promoting the platform and its capabilities to clients and stakeholders.
  3. Oversee the execution of implementation activities, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and technical teams, to ensure successful project delivery.
  5. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
  6. Communicate project status and risks to clients, stakeholders, and team members in a timely and transparent manner.
  7. Ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
  8. Continuously evaluate and improve project processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience managing software implementation projects in a healthcare setting.
  2. In-depth knowledge of the Athena platform and healthcare IT landscape.
  3. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Project management certification (e.g. PMP) is a plus.
