Job Description: AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Reston, VA
Duration: 12 months with possible extension upto 12 months
"The key focus for this position is AWS application triage, transaction tracing in various layers of AWS infrastructure, log analysis, diagnosis of issues using AWS Console and other monitoring tools, sharing analysis with wider audience during incident calls, strong communication. We are not looking for candidates with only development or deployment experience in AWS. Triage experience is key for this position."

Provide support for complex or specialized application or infrastructure tasks, incidents, changes and requests.
Good communication skills (oral and written) Attention to detail Deep expertise with: - Enterprise infrastructure (on-prem and cloud hybrid) - AWS Cloud Computing (certification required) - Expertise in at least two of the below and intermediate knowledge at least three of the others - Cloud Architecture - Security Framework - System Operations - Network - Database - Development/DevOps
Specialized service/application/infrastructure subject matter expertise (certification if appropriate)
Ability to do analysis, design and implement solutions to issues in the environment. Able to present to management and represent the solutions for approval.
Provide support for complex or specialized application or infrastructure tasks, incidents, changes and requests.
Implement and oversee complex, and enterprise-level IT system and services, including rollout of new services for all applications or shared services
Lead critical incident response efforts and root cause analysis
Lead critical application releases and implementations that include interfacing application changes and coordination
Interface and maintain partnerships with vendors and service provider
Represent the team in discussions with business, development and management in decision making processes and meetings and informing management of the results and outcomes
Perform as subject matter expert for the service/application/infrastructure/area and provide insight around design, operations, functionality and impacts of changes to all teams, including development and business teams
Top 3 must have skills:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification is required.
Use of Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook).
Provide recommendation on continuous improvement and lead the execution of the same
Creation of dashboards, automation scripts, etc. to increase observability, reduce manual work, and ensure business uptime that can be utilized by other members of the team and also by the business and other technical teams
10+ years' experience including cloud operations and engineering along with development/scripting or cloud architecture experience.
