Job Summary:
The Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, recommending and implementing best practices for Azure cloud services, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-based systems.
Responsibilities:
Azure Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
Design, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Networks, Virtual Machines, Storage accounts, and other Azure resources.
Implement and optimize network configurations, security groups, and access controls.
Automation and Scripting:
Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate deployment and configuration processes.
Monitoring and Optimization:
Implement monitoring solutions for Azure resources to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other issues.
Security and Compliance:
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Manage identity and access controls, encryption, and security policies for Azure environments.
Collaboration and Documentation:
Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand project requirements and provide scalable solutions.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure infrastructure and processes.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide technical support for Azure-related issues and incidents.
Participate in on-call rotations to address critical system alerts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, services, and best practices.
Skills:
Proficient in Azure services, including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Security Center.
Experience on Terraform.
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates).
Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and identity management in the cloud.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
