APN Consulting has an immediate need for a direct client requirement:
Role: IT Business Analyst
Location: Jersey City or Remote
Duration: Contract to hire

Our client is in need of a Business Analyst who will collaborate with the internal business stakeholders to document requirements and translate them to User Stories for software development teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with stakeholder teams across business units (i.e., Finance, Sales, Operations) to develop necessary analysis and requirements documentation in a collaborative way.
  • Convert business requirements into detailed User Stories/requirements for application development and reports.
  • Drive identification of requirements across business units and identify standard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data.
  • Serve as thought leader for technical business requirement processes (User Stories).
  • Map processes from current to future state, define business and tech. requirements (User Stories) and scope, and proactively champion change to business stakeholders and development teams.
  • Assist business stakeholders with testing of system changes and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Product Owner on product vision, requirements definition, and capability mapping to ensure requirements align with business unit processes and needs.
  • Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
Required Skills:
  • Highly proficient in writing requirements in User Stories for the development team and walking the team through the requirements. Developing an end-to-end vision of the application to be developed. Ability to break complex requirements into user stories.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of team members, including executives, managers, IT professionals, and subject matter experts.
  • Proven ability to facilitate requirement workshops/training sessions with large groups of business users and leadership. Ability to think through requirements and identify missing requirements and User Stories
  • Ability and proven experience to translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications/stories that can be used for development, breaking down technical complexities so that they can be easily understood by business units and technical teams.
  • Experience in process mapping, group facilitation, data gathering and analysis, and phases of the project life cycle (requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, training, and measuring effectiveness.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Including Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-directed, and takes ownership requiring minimal supervision while achieving consistent, timely delivery of objectives.
  • 6+ years' experience as a proven business analyst.
  • Familiarity with the Insurance industry, Dev Ops, Jira, Salesforce, and/or Sagitta is a big plus.
