Functional Business Analyst Duck Creek Reinsurance (DCR) product

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to provide functional support for Duck Creek Reinsurance (DCR) product. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of reinsurance principles, experience with Duck Creek technology, and strong analytical skills to support our teams effectively. This role will focus on ensuring the smooth operation of the DCR product and enhancing user experience through effective support and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Functional Support:
- Provide expert functional support for the DCR product, addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting issues promptly.
- Assist users in understanding and utilizing the features and functionalities of the Duck Creek platform.
- Requirements Gathering:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for enhancements and new features of the DCR product.
- Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops to elicit requirements and gather feedback from end-users.
- Analysis and Documentation:
- Analyze and document existing business processes and workflows related to the DCR product to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, user guides, and training materials.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop test cases and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that product enhancements meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to facilitate successful implementation of changes and ensure thorough quality assurance.
- Training and Support:
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users to promote effective utilization of the DCR product.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to users post-implementation to resolve any issues that arise.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT, underwriting, operations, and other relevant departments to ensure alignment and effective communication regarding product features and functionality.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and user feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with a focus on reinsurance and Duck Creek technology.
- Strong understanding of reinsurance products, processes, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with Duck Creek's capabilities and functionalities is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
