Role/Title : CA Gen Applications Developer
Location : Durham - NC, 27709 (Hybrid)
Duration : Long Term
DHHS-ITD requires the services of a Specialist to provide leadership and perform tasks associated with current operational maintenance and future-state decommissioning of CA Gen applications.
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires the assistance of a contract resource to serve as a CA Gen Applications Developer. This position will be responsible for maintaining and decommissioning application software solutions using CA Gen (formerly known as COOL:Gen). This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze user requirements for decommissioning current CA Gen applications while maintaining the support of the CA Gen applications until full decommissioning is complete. This role requires a deep understanding of CA Gen development methodologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical design specifications.
- Design, develop, and test application software solutions using CA Gen development tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient workflow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and issues promptly.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with established coding standards.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, system design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Provide support and mentoring as CA Gen applications are being decommissioned.
- Adhere to project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards set by the organization.
- Document application specifications, user manuals, and technical guides.
