POSITION TITLE: Software Developer
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Software Developers are responsible for creating and maintaining systems in a complex multi-vendor, multi-platform environment. Their work entails writing clean and efficient code that meets the coding standards set forth for the department. They are a vital part of the overall development lifecycle, beginning with initial concept through ongoing maintenance after implementation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field desired. Certifications in modern development methodologies a plus.
- Must have knowledge of or experience with related programming languages, tools and databases, including C#, .NET, JavaScript, Java, Microsoft SQL Server, MS Reporting Services, T-SQL, Microsoft Office and flow charting tools.
- Understanding of the full project lifecycle and 3+ years of related experience designing and coding complex, multi-year, high-dollar amount engagements
- Highly motivated and skilled problem solver
- Comfortable with version control systems such as Azure DevOps
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks without supervision
- Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
- Ability to organize time effectively and work under time constraints, meet deadlines and prioritize
- Research new technologies, advancements and industry improvements in order to stay abreast of the latest developments and trends
- Develop and maintain project documentation using current templates and guidelines.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the department and provide off hours support as required
- Understand functional specifications, and be proactive in gaining clarification of unclear or incomplete specifications.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills (e.g., phone etiquette, listening skills, and follow-through, etc.).
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must consent to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation.
