POSITION TITLE:  Software Developer

SUMMARY OF POSITION:   Software Developers are responsible for creating and maintaining systems in a complex multi-vendor, multi-platform environment. Their work entails writing clean and efficient code that meets the coding standards set forth for the department. They are a vital part of the overall development lifecycle, beginning with initial concept through ongoing maintenance after implementation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field desired. Certifications in modern development methodologies a plus.
  2. Must have knowledge of or experience with related programming languages, tools and databases, including C#, .NET, JavaScript, Java, Microsoft SQL Server, MS Reporting Services, T-SQL, Microsoft Office and flow charting tools.
  3. Understanding of the full project lifecycle and 3+ years of related experience designing and coding complex, multi-year, high-dollar amount engagements
  4. Highly motivated and skilled problem solver
  5. Comfortable with version control systems such as Azure DevOps
  6. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks without supervision
  7. Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
  8. Ability to organize time effectively and work under time constraints, meet deadlines and prioritize
  9. Research new technologies, advancements and industry improvements in order to stay abreast of the latest developments and trends
  10. Develop and maintain project documentation using current templates and guidelines.
  11. Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the department and provide off hours support as required
  12. Understand functional specifications, and be proactive in gaining clarification of unclear or incomplete specifications.
  13. Must possess excellent customer service skills (e.g., phone etiquette, listening skills, and follow-through, etc.).
  14. Must be 18 years of age.
  15. Must consent to and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation.
