Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and managing data architectures, ensuring seamless integration of data across various platforms, and contributing to the strategic direction of our data management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud data solutions, data modeling, and business intelligence tools, along with experience in project management and effective communication at senior levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures using AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and other relevant technologies.
Build and manage data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and optimizing data flow across platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations using Tableau to support business decision-making.
Perform data analysis and model data structures to support analytics and reporting needs.
Provide technical expertise and guidance in Python, SQL, and cloud technologies.
Lead or assist with project management tasks such as organizing meetings, preparing agendas, taking notes, following up on action items, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with senior leadership, including frequent reporting and status updates to Sr. Director level.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related field.
Proficiency in Python, SQL (particularly with Snowflake), and AWS (S3).
Hands-on experience with Databricks and Tableau.
Strong problem-solving abilities and experience optimizing data architectures for performance and scalability.
Demonstrated experience in project management, including coordination of meetings, documentation, and reporting.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical teams and senior management.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud-native data engineering tools and best practices.
Certification in AWS, Snowflake, or other relevant platforms is a plus.
Knowledge of advanced data modeling and ETL/ELT processes.
