Job Description :
We are looking for a Full-time contractor or employee for a Front-End Java Developer role.
Job Description: With 8+ years of experience, this role requires a seasoned professional who uses their expertise and judgment to plan and achieve goals. The individual will independently handle complex tasks and may lead or direct others. Creativity and autonomy are expected. The role involves developing software solutions by analyzing information needs, collaborating with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. This includes investigating problem areas and designing system specifications and programming solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain web-based J2EE/Portal applications within HHSC’s SOA platform using Agile methodologies.
  • Support various applications such as State Portal, Workflow Management, and Enterprise Document Services.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of new application components.
  • Collaborate with other teams to achieve objectives.
  • Create and maintain technical and design documentation.
  • Perform system analysis, problem resolution, and performance tuning.
  • Develop and maintain data and process models.
  • Employ modern testing methods to ensure application functionality.
  • Provide technical support for testing and implementation.
  • Contribute to program design, coding, and test walk-through meetings.
  • Support and maintain web-based Java applications, including defect repair and performance optimization.

Required Skills:
  • Extensive experience in Front End/UI development and J2EE application platforms.
  • Proficient in all phases of the SDLC.
  • Experience with J2EE Application Servers, authentication, authorization, and caching strategies.
  • Programming skills in Java, J2EE, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, Angular, Typescript, Spring, JSP, JSON, XML, ES5/ES6, NPM, Maven, and other UI frameworks.
  • Experience with responsive design and SPAs using Angular or similar frameworks.
  • Development of reusable, testable modules and components.
  • Test-driven development experience with frameworks like Karma, Jasmine, and Selenium.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise-level Angular applications and front-end stack ownership.
  • Knowledge of best practices in application design, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server 8 or later.
  • Familiarity with Agile Development Methodologies (preferably Scrum).
  • Experience with web applications on Cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD methodology.
  • Development experience for mobile and tablet platforms.
