Position Overview:
Our direct client in the retail space is seeking an experienced IBM API Connect Developer with 5-6 years of hands-on development experience in gateway scripting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with IBM API Connect, and Gateway scripting, and a strong background in web services, integration, and API security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage APIs using IBM API Connect, including Gateway scripting with JavaScript for custom logic, security, and API management.
  • Integrate IBM Identity Manager with API Connect.
  • Design, develop, code, test, and debug software, ensuring high-level and low-level design requirements are met.
  • Execute unit testing and work closely with testing tools such as Swagger or similar.
  • Work with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
  • Utilize version control tools for software management.
  • Implement API security measures, including API Key Validation, Authentication, Authorization, and Identity management.
  • Prepare YAML and SOAP files in compliance with Open API standards.
  • Collaborate with project management tools such as Jira or Redmine.
  • (Optional) Utilize expertise in Drupal for related tasks.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in API Connect development.
  • Proven experience with IBM API Connect and Gateway scripting.
  • Experience with IBM App Connect, Message Broker (MB), and MQ.
  • Strong knowledge of web services, including WSDL, SOAP, and Restful.
  • Experience with integration between IBM Identity Manager and API Connect.
  • Hands-on technical experience in software design, development, coding, testing, and debugging.
  • Proficiency in using version control tools.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools like Swagger.
  • Working experience with project management tools such as Jira or Redmine.
  • Knowledge of preparing YAML and SOAP files as per Open API standards.
  • (Optional) Expertise in Drupal is a plus.
