Under general supervision, analyses customer business needs and participates in the planning, design and implementation of new or enhanced systems.
The Instructional Designer is responsible for developing innovative instructional programs and materials that align with organizational goals and learner needs for the State Accounting Office (SAO). This role requires a blend of instructional design expertise, creativity, and strong communication skills to create engaging and effective learning experiences. The Instructional Designer will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of training content. Local candidates preferred. Out of state candidates are permitted. (100% remote)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive training content in various formats (eLearning, instructor-led, microlearning, videos).
- Collaborate with SMEs to gather content and ensure training material accuracy.
- Track and document project progress using project management tools.
- Develop and administer assessments to measure training effectiveness.
- Ensure all training materials comply with 508 accessibility standards.
- Update and maintain training content to align with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Instructional Design, Education, or Training and Development.
- Proficiency in Articulate Storyline, A e Captivate, Camtasia, and LMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of 508-compliance and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup (2 days in-office) as per role requirements.
Preferred:
- Experience with Workday LMS and ERP transition training.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Instructional Design or related field.
- Knowledge of gamification techniques to enhance learner engagement.
