Job Description: 

  • The project manager will be responsible for planning, managing, monitoring, and controlling projects related to the merger & acquisition of their sister firm, Grant Thornton Ireland.
  • There will be a good amount of infrastructure and service desk related work, combining and synergizing those functions between the two firms.
  • Previous M&A experience, navigating the combining of technologies, teams and processes would be ideal.
  • Also working on a new product solution for their tax practice. Someone with new Product experience would be good, but this is mainly an ITSM & Service Desk related role.
     

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with PMO team and stakeholders to understand initiatives, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Create and maintain project plans, manage and deliver on projects using Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Identify, report, and escalate risks and issues using ADO.
  • Define, groom, and prioritize epics, features, and user stories.
  • Facilitate Product Backlog Grooming Meetings.
  • Facilitate Sprint Review and Retrospective Meeting.
  • Manage and monitor project costs against budget.

Must Have Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related business field
  • 6+ years of Agile project management experience within a large organization, preferably in professional services (Deloitte, Accenture, PWC, EY, KPMG)
  • Strong experience managing ITSM, Service Desk, and Infrastructure related projects
  • New software Product creation and implementation experience would be a plus
  • Previous M&A experience, navigating the combining of technologies, teams and processes
  • Proven ability to prioritize and drive solution-centric efforts across a geographically distributed Agile teams of business and technology professionals
  • Strong experience utilizing Azure DevOps, Smartsheets, the Microsoft tech stack, and other cloud-based PM technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate technical subject matter in a clear and concise fashion
  • Self-confident, comfortable presenting information to large groups of people, facilitating meetings, and building consensus
  • An engaging and approachable personality, ability to work across teams, stakeholders, and leadership
  • Proactive, detail oriented, organized, and a sense of urgency, including strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Committed to personal and team excellence, someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done
