We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage end-to-end software development projects. This dual-role position requires expertise in traditional project management practices and Agile Scrum methodologies. You will act as a servant leader, ensuring teams stay aligned with project goals, fostering collaboration, and driving successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Allocate resources, assign tasks, and ensure project milestones are met.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, clients, and senior management.
- Facilitate clear communication and ensure alignment on project goals, expectations, and status updates.
- Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and address project challenges, keeping stakeholders informed of potential impacts.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Track project progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and present comprehensive project reports for executive stakeholders.
- Agile Facilitation & Coaching:
- Lead daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and practices.
- Coach team members on Agile best practices, enabling continuous improvement.
- Team Empowerment:
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and self-organization.
- Remove impediments that hinder the team''s progress.
- Motivate and engage team members, promoting a healthy team dynamic.
- Product Backlog Management:
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is well-defined and prioritized.
- Ensure the development team understands project requirements and sprint objectives.
- Data-Driven Improvement:
- Monitor Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.) and use insights to drive improvements.
- Recommend and implement changes to enhance team performance and productivity.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of both Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Project.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or similar role in an IT/Software development environment.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
- Proficiency in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and knowledge of traditional project management methodologies.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with software development lifecycles (SDLC).
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of software development tools like Git, Jenkins, and version control systems.
