Job Description :
A junior Cassandra DBA, or Database Administrator, is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and security of Cassandra database clusters. They also ensure that data is stored and retrieved correctly. Some of their responsibilities include:
  • Database management: Install, configure, and maintain Cassandra database clusters
  • Database performance: Monitor the performance of Cassandra clusters and identify and resolve bottlenecks
  • Database capacity: Plan for future capacity needs and estimate storage requirements
  • Data replication: Configure and manage Cassandra replication strategies
  • Security: Implement and enforce database security measures
  • Database design: Design optimal data models and tables
  • Query planning: Plan queries and help developers plan high performing queries
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues
  • Best practices: Establish best practices for the team
  • Application development: Work closely with application development project teams
