Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Lead Appian Developer to join the Information Technology (IT) Scheduled Releases team. In this role, you will independently design and implement Appian-based workforce application systems, supporting multiple projects simultaneously. You’ll contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, from development and testing to deployment and support.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, validate, and deploy Appian applications using the latest technologies.
  • Build user interfaces, process models, and data storage solutions within the Appian environment.
  • Develop and maintain application code, test specifications, and artifacts for software deployment.
  • Assess project requirements, ensuring solutions align with current architecture and operational needs.
  • Ensure application scalability, availability, and performance while engineering reliability into the software.
  • Work within an Agile framework, conducting impact analysis and preparing technical user stories.
  • Use standardized project management tools and methodologies to effectively support project needs.
  • Help establish, maintain, and enforce development standards and best practices for Appian solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers, fostering technical growth and knowledge-sharing.
  • Ensure adherence to documentation standards, procedural guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide operational support, perform troubleshooting, and complete additional analysis as required.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum five years as a developer/programmer OR a bachelor’s degree (technical/analytical field preferred) with equivalent experience.
  • Appian Senior Developer Certification and hands-on experience in designing and implementing Appian applications.
  • Strong understanding of Appian components (Process Models, SAIL Forms, CDTs, Records, Reports, Integrations).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, API integration software (e.g., MuleSoft), and Cloud-based technologies (e.g., AWS).
  • Proficiency in SDLC principles, programming techniques, and software design.
  • Experience with Appian CDTs and integrating applications with Oracle 11g, DB2, or MySQL databases.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues, schedule implementations, and optimize system functionality.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Axure, or Photoshop.
  • Experience using Octane (or earlier versions of ALM).
  • Strong verbal and written skills to provide technical consultation, document issues, and prepare concise reports.

Preferred Skills:
  • Appian Lead Developer Certification.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Texas Workforce Commission systems.
