We are looking for a Full-time contractor or employee for a Lead Java Applications Developer role.
Level Description: With 8 or more years of experience, this role relies on advanced judgment and expertise to plan and achieve goals. It involves independently managing a range of complex tasks and may include leading and directing the work of others, with a high degree of creativity and autonomy expected.
Job Description: Responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and managing software programs. Duties include testing and evaluating new programs while collaborating closely with developers, UX designers, and business and systems analysts.
Additional Job Details and Special Considerations:
- Perform analysis, design, and development work for existing web-based systems, including enhancements to Java/Eclipse-based user interfaces on the Websphere platform and existing batch interfaces.
- Conduct requirements analysis, high-level and detailed design, development, testing, and deployment of application components independently.
- Collaborate with other teams and trading partners to achieve goals.
- Create and maintain technical and design documentation as needed.
- Perform system analysis and resolve problems as required.
- Analyze software for configuration and performance tuning opportunities.
- Develop and maintain data and process models.
- Utilize contemporary testing methods to ensure applications function correctly and efficiently.
- Provide technical support for testing and implementation efforts.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience in Server-side application development, enhancing and maintaining enterprise-class applications using IBM application development platform
- Hands-on Experience implementing Java/Eclipse based user interfaces.
- Hands-on Experience implementing batch interfaces using Java
- Hands-on programming experience in following languages / technologies: Java, JEE, Java Server Pages, XML, Web Services, JWT, Maven, RAD and Oracle
- Experience designing multi-tier web-based applications
- Experience in implementing best practices in the areas of application design, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Hands-on experience with Agile Development Methodology
