This role is better described as a sandwich between Linux and DBA with core expertise in Linux, with good knowledge in any one of the DBAs like, Oracle, SQL, Postgres, Mongo etc.
Essential Skills
RedHat Linux and Shell scripting is important
Experience in Support and operations
Python scripting will be valuable.
Knowledge or experience in distributed Database such as Redis or MemSQL will be an advantage.
Required experience – 7 plus years with hard core Linux Admin.
