Role: Senior Mainframe Developer
Location: Hybrid Candidates are expected to travel onsite for team meetings 1x a quarter in DC, Fairfax or Reston.
Summary:
CareFirst is seeking a Sr. Mainframe Developer to assist with replicating CareFirst's existing reports written in COBOL for a new line of business (USPS Employees). This resource will be responsible for creating detailed technical design, code, code review and testing of new COBOL reports in support of the Member transition /USPS project. Should also be able to run batch jobs and reports in a mainframe environment.
Required Experience:
10+ years of mainframe report development experience including 5+ years of experience developing reports in COBOL
Experience running batch jobs and reports in a mainframe environment
Experience with Spring Batch
JIRA experience
Nice to have:
Prior healthcare experience
Prior back-end java development experience
