Title: Mechanical Engineer Pay: ~$43/hr Duration: 1-Year Contract (Temp-to-Perm Potential) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST Location: 100% On-site in Bedford, MA
Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of products and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project scope, deadlines, and cost targets. Support the transfer of robust products from R&D to manufacturing and commercial launch. Work in a lab-based environment with a focus on product development. Communicate effectively across departments, including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Management. Use statistical tools for data analysis and decision-making.
Qualifications: Required:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 1-2 years of relevant experience (internship or co-op experience considered). Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks), Microsoft Word, Excel, and statistical software. Strong problem-solving, experimentation, and data analysis skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Hands-on experience with thermoplastics and plastic injection processes is preferred.
Preferred:
Product development experience. Knowledge of filtration products and processes. Experience in ISO and cGMP environments.
