Job Description :

The Network Engineer 4 will lead and coordinate the procurement and installation of LiveScans statewide, advise on network requirements, assist with equipment upgrades, and ensure network connectivity with cloud-based servers. The role requires advanced network administration skills, troubleshooting, customer relations, project management, and strong communication abilities. The position is full-time, onsite at Virginia State Police Headquarters. Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate activities for LiveScans procurement and installation

Advise agencies on LiveScan equipment and network requirements

Assist agencies in upgrading existing equipment

Create network connectivity between cloud-based LiveScan servers and agency LiveScans

Coordinate network connectivity and configuration of state and agency systems

Coordinate activities with IT suppliers and state technical personnel
