Job Description :

Role: Network Technician- Night Shift Position-W2 Only

Location: Anderson, SC

Duration: 12 Months contract with likely possibility of 36 Months extension.

 

Hours are 6PM- 6AM

 

Daily duties / responsibilities:

  • Monitors, tests, maintains and repairs network and infrastructure elements for agency CCIT.
  • Monitors agency network, server, and application elements, resolve incidents and service requests and/or consult with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution. Applies simple state-of-the-art technology to meet and improve network control center.
  • Configure network and system resources, and maintain corresponding system records and documentation. Provides tier II support as per sme agreements. Performs periodic maintenance and monitoring of computer systems. Performs pre-configured port activations on network switches.
  • Prepares and reviews documentation for use in operations for training and knowledge base. Participates in training and cross training for the tier II. Provides customer service for all information and/or telecommunication network systems support areas.
  • Monitors mainframe, applications and batch processing. Responds to issues, alerts, incidents, tickets and resolve incidents and service requests and/or consult with the subject matter expert team for incident resolution.

  • Understanding of monitoring tools (splunk, solarwinds)
  • Microsoft office suite
  • Server batch scripting
  • Technical writing experience

Required education: high school diploma or equivalent
