Deliverable 1:
BI Functional administration:
- Functional administration of the BI dashboarding environments (accounts, roles, server maintenance coordination, promotion of code from one environment to another, etc.) in production and non-production servers. Maintenance of the existing data reporting inventory and Provide data and technology support necessary to enable CalPERS to meet BI related business objectives.
Deliverable 2:
- Design and development (programming, testing, enhancements, and maintenance) of specialized BI software solutions for an advanced analysis of CalPERS business transactions. Evaluate existing dashboards and reports, identify issues, and recommend actions to resolve problems.
- Modernization of BI data platform by migrating the OBIEE reports and dashboard to PowerBI.
Mandatory Skills:
1. Individual must have participated in at least two (2) successful Business Intelligence and/or Analytics projects, one of which with a budget of at least $1 million
2. At least three (3) years of experience in some or all areas of Pension, Health Insurance, Customer Service, or Finance
3. At least four (4) years of experience performing tasks pertaining to Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Functional/System Administration and Microsoft Power BI Administration including promotion of changes, access provision, and documentation of procedures and OBIEE best practices
4. At least five (5) years of experience diagnosing and resolving issues with Microsoft Power BI and Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition
5. At least five (5) years of experience in developing reports using BI & Analytics tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise and Microsoft Power BI
6. At least three (3) years of experience in report meta modeling, including logically grouping business element functions in the form of conformed dimensions and hierarchies, measures, data security rules, and user-friendly attributes and data dictionary definitions.
