ABOUT THE ROLE:
We have an immediate need of a Technical PM to oversee the VSP Net project/transition from a legacy service to the VDN-managed platform with Verizon.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Data and Network Monitoring technologies, standards, and practices for management of the broadband circuit portfolio.
• Ability to assist with the Data Networking services lifecycle from strategic planning to operations and financials, from a broadband circuit perspective.
• Experience in managing general network technology projects.
• Understands best practices in service management including contract and vendor management in an outsourcing or shared service.
- Responsible for responding to and resolving agency and customer escalations
Recommended Knowledge/Experiences:
• Experience in State/Agency is a plus. ITIL Foundations certification desirable
• Experience deploying and managing multiple location network solutions.
Required: 7 Years
- Ability to perform Data Networking technology and operational assessments to oversee the Virginia State Police transition project
- Project Management experience and the ability to track milestones/deliverables and report out to VITA leadership
- Experience in managing general network technology projects
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Data and Network Monitoring technologies, standards, and practices.
- Experience deploying and managing multiple location network solutions
- Responsible for responding to and resolving agency and customer escalations
- Experience producing presentations when reporting out on status of technology projects
