Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Needs to have good experience with application performance tuning (Performance tuning, in database world, it is like a black box, they are joining when there is no perfect solution for everything, tuning is helpful).
  • Goldengate experience-replication tools, manage those that we use heavily-ability to debug and find problem then identify issue, mitigate and come up with resolution, these problem solving skills are very important-want to know if they have this skill, dynamically look at situation and problem solve.
  • AWS Cloud Experience (RDS / EC2).
  • CockroachDB – Distributed Database technology
  • SQL Server
  • Cloud knowledge very highly preferred, have so much of cloud footprint, migrating to cloud-if they do not have but can prove they can scale up and learn this with their efficiency and skills in other areas.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent desirable
  • Ability to perform applications database administration (Oracle) services including SQL code review, performance analysis, query tuning, database application design, physical data modeling, development support & Engineering.
  • Experience in setting up, installing and managing multisite databases using Oracle Goldengate replication.
  • Experience with cloud databases platforms on Linux environments.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose the problem areas and come up with solutions and/or workarounds.
  • Provide database support in all phases of SDLC and agile experience is preferred.
  • Participate in 24X7 on call rotation schedule for various production support, database maintenance, housekeeping and installs.
  • Work with enterprise teams for Systems Administrators, Cyber Security and Capacity Planning groups as and when situation demands.
  • Strong time leadership skills with willingness and ability to prioritize multiple projects/initiatives at the same time.
  • Self-motivated with strong team, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Establish database standards for operations, upgrades, migrations and onboarding new applications and/or clients.
  • Advanced skills in SQL Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid control (OEM 12c), Linux shell scripting, and writing database monitoring jobs in PL/SQL.
  • Strong Linux shell scripting experience preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as maintaining a flexible attitude are a must.
  • Ability to develop and drive database administration strategies and initiatives as per the needs of the team.
