Job Title: Power BI Developer (1 day/week on-site)

Location: Matteson, IL (Hybrid) locals Only

Duration: 6+ months Contract JOB DESCRIPTION

About the job

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create complex calculations, measures, and custom visualizations.
  • Design, develop, and maintain M scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Integrate data from various sources, including databases, Excel, and cloud services.
  • Experience with SSIS for data integration.
  • Work with Excel to manipulate and analyze data, creating pivot tables, charts, and graphs.
  • Manage and optimize Power BI datasets, including data modeling, relationships, and data refresh schedules.
  • Develop and maintain paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder.
  • Ensure reports are well-formatted and meet business requirements for printed or exported formats.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Provide support and training to end-users on Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and datasets.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience as a Power BI Developer
  • Proven experience with Power BI, including DAX, M Language, and Power Query in Power BI or Excel.
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and backend ETL processes.
  • 3+ years of T-SQL experience (writing/ executing queries) for effective data retrieval and data validation
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, charts, and advanced formulas.
  • Experience with Power BI Premium and Power BI Service.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have:

  • Oracle ERP experience.
  • Salesforce
