We are seeking a Product Owner (ERP Functional Payroll) to join the CMIPS team supporting the IHSS program.
Location: Sacramento, CA on client site.
Role is 50% Functional and 50% Technical.

You will be supporting CGI Advantage Payroll daily operations and Payroll customizations.
Candidate should enjoy leveraging their analytical Payroll and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) knowledge as a consultant assisting our clients to not only successfully implement ERP solutions, but to help them gain the most benefit from their ERP investment.
Candidate needs to be a great contributor, but relish working as a team player in a highly collaborative, modern agile implementation environment.
Candidate needs to leverage their payroll experience but is unafraid to learn new tools and solutions to hone their craft and improve how they can make our clients successful.
Candidate will serve as a "Functional" leader and SME on an ERP project in support of our Sacramento, CA client by:
Serving as the Payroll Product Owner: confidently researching, writing requirements, performing analysis, testing, triaging defects, writing user documentation, and mentoring colleagues in the following areas:
o US Tax regulations & laws, W-2, etc.
o Household Employer Tax Laws - Federal & State
o Garnishments and Levies
o Understanding of Automated Pay Cycles
o Payroll
o Payroll Production Support
Leading Test and Release Management in the following areas as needed:
o Payroll Testing
o Functional validation of GTN
o Problem solving and troubleshooting
o Understanding of interfaces in XML (webservices and batch processes)
o Defects analysis, troubleshooting, logging, tracking, resolution, and post-mortem
o Knowledge of Container processes code freeze, testing, implementation
o Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence and ALM
Additional Responsibilities:

o Be flexible to help with any work as SME role permits. Some examples include helping team to refine stories, conduct testing, add documentation for release, etc.
Leading sessions to analyze business requirements to determine functional solutions
Planning and managing resources to create functional design documents and other functional project deliverables
Planning and leading fit-gap of current processes to future designed processes
Developing business concept/designs for functionality to support client s business requirements
Resolving functional issues and providing functional support to the project team
Collaborating with clients independently to prepare participants for meeting sessions and to answer questions regarding their business functions as it relates to Advantage Payroll ERP for meeting sessions and to answer questions regarding their business functions as it relates to Advantage Payroll ERP
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
5+ years of Product Owner experience involved with ERP implementation projects focused on the Payroll area (e.g., SAP, Workday, PeopleSoft, Advantage Strongly prefer experience with "CGI Advantage".
Agile certification, such as SAFe certification, with related agile implementation experience.

Lead, coordinate and perform the functional task related to the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Provide support for conversion, interfaces, reports and forms analysis
Translate the business case analysis and client requirements into design documents
Document user stories, test plans, and test execution
Coordinate and lead peer review sessions
Consult with client about root causes of payroll issues, and provide organized and systematic methods of solution implementation
Mentor, influence, facilitate, present, communicate, develop, analyze, and problem solve
