Position: Senior IT Project Manager Location: Sunnyvale,CADuration: 12+ Months Work Authorization: US Citizens, GC, GC-EAD, H1B, OPT-EAD Preferred Employment: W2 Permanent, W2 Contract, 1099 Job Description: Experience: *Bachelor s degree or equivalent(PMP/CSM), preferably in Business or Information Management *Total 12+ years of Project management and/or business systems experience *Understanding and familiarity with project management and portfolio management best practices *Understanding and familiarity with agile processes and methodologies *Strong organizational, time-management, and analytical skills *Strong presentation and facilitation skills *Knowledge of SAP a plus *Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently*Ability to communicate and report initiative and project status to variety of business audiences *Excellent verbal, written, analytical, organizational and motivational skills Certifications PMP Scrum Master Certification RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Management: Lead end-to-end project delivery, from initial planning and scoping through to execution, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocations. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives. Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and expertise on Databricks and AWS best practices to the project team. Collaborate with architects and technical leads to design scalable and efficient data solutions that meet client requirements. Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and other relevant policies and procedures. Client Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Manage client expectations, communicate project status updates, and address any concerns or issues in a timely manner. Identify opportunities for additional services or enhancements to existing solutions and work with the sales team to drive business growth. Team Development Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance on technical skills development, project management methodologies, and best practices. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment conducive to learning and professional growth. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: IT Portfolio Management Manage business relationships in specific business departments to support clear communication and understanding on progress and priority on the department s IT-related projects. Manage and communicate processes for analysis, scheduling, and decision making for correct assignment of system and project priorities. Lead and coordinate project scoping sessions with key business departments to ensure clear understanding of new IT projects. IT Project Management Partner with business to create, manage and communicate integrated business and IT timeline for significant IT projects. Apply project controls that may include but are not limited to: Project scoping, identification of timelines and key milestones, tracking project budget, status reporting, managing risk and issue logs, change control, and post implementation reviews. Support the maturation of the IT PMO department via the refinement of processes, templates, and tools. For projects not managed by the IT PMO, provide guidance and tools to assist individuals with standard project management principals. IT Governance Coordinate evaluation of system priorities with other PMs. Support business areas (as needed) for projects to be presented for prioritization at systems governance meetings. Communicate and support prioritization to business areas and IT between governance meetings. Support and assist corporate governance process with scoping process for large projects.
