This Engineer will be partnered with an existing senior azure infra engineer on my team to assist with the work but ensure they have a solid understanding of azure networking, infrastructure, and security.
Azure Security Best Practices
• Understanding of Azure Security Benchmarks: Familiarity with the Microsoft cloud security benchmark and how it applies to various Azure services.
• Operational Security: Knowledge of operational security practicesService-Specific Security Knowledge.
•Azure Logic Apps: Skills in configuring network security, access control, and encryption for Logic Apps.
•Azure Synapse Analytics: Understanding of data protection, access control, and network security specific to Synapse.
•Azure Database for PostgreSQL: Proficiency in implementing encryption, network security, and access management for PostgreSQL.
•Azure Databricks: Knowledge of authentication, access control, data encryption, and secret management in Databricks.
• Azure Service Bus: Skills in configuring network security, IP firewall rules, and authentication for Service Bus.
• Azure Key Vault: Expertise in managing secrets, certificates, and keys, along with configuring network security and access policies.
Networking and Infrastructure Security
•Virtual Network (VNet) Configuration: Ability to design and implement secure virtual networks, including VNet peering and subnetting.
•Network Security Groups (NSGs): Skills in creating and managing NSGs to control inbound and outbound traffic.
•Azure Firewall and DDoS Protection: Knowledge of deploying and managing Azure Firewall and implementing DDoS protection.
•Private Endpoints and Service Endpoints: Proficiency in configuring private endpoints and service endpoints to secure access to Azure resources.
