The Cloud Engineer role is responsible for the delivery of Cloud Platforms while being a part of empowered teams and adaptive mindsets. You will build cloud native and multi-cloud platforms implementing DevSecOps , Infrastructure-as-Code, Kubernetes, and Zero Trust architecture. You'll apply Site Reliability Engineering to create resilient and scalable platforms. You'll keep pace with leading Cloud, Containerization, Kubernetes and Cloud Engineering skills as you further specialize.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build, deployment, and management of cloud-based solutions, including infrastructure as code (IaC) initiatives using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Automate deployment on Internet Gateway, ELB , Kubernetes , EKS , ECS , Docker , API Gateway and various AWS Services using Terraform Enterprise
- Integrate Terraform Enterprise with Service Now to provide Self Service for provisioning IaaS , Paas. Collaborate with software development teams to integrate cloud services and support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, utilizing containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Be a team player to all cloud engineers and members, demonstrating a strong understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices for cloud security.
- Foster a culture of “automation-first” among team members, and lead automation efforts to simplify the processes of provisioning, deployment, configuration management, and monitoring.
- Embrace new cloud technologies and tools to enhance our capabilities and drive innovation, staying updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
- When needed will lead incident response and troubleshooting efforts related to cloud infrastructure issues, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and present technical solutions in a clear and understandable manner.
Minimum Qualifications
- Relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology field.
- Proven experience 6+ years working in a similar role, with a focus on cloud infrastructure design and management.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Working Experience on designing and implementing full stack/Microservice infrastructure using IaC best practices.
- Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Code First mindset Strong working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.
- In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- High level of expertise with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana) for cloud environments.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash).
- · Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead and drive collaboration closely with other SGWS teams, including software development, DevSecOps, data engineering, Infrastructure engineering teams, and IT support operations, to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with other systems.
