The Department of Early Care & Learning (DECAL) seeks a Data Architect to design enterprise data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks. The role involves developing scalable data architecture for integration with state-level systems, focusing on Microsoftu2019s data platform and Delta Lake architecture. The job location is in Georgia with hybrid work settings, requiring on-site attendance from Tuesday to Thursday. The initial contract is for 6 months, with potential renewal. Key responsibilities include designing data architecture, integration patterns, lakehouse architecture, data governance, pipeline development, performance optimization, and security frameworks. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science, 6+ years of experience in data architecture, and expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks. Responsibilities:

Design end-to-end data architecture leveraging Microsoft Fabric

Implement OneLake storage strategies

Configure Synapse Analytics workspaces

Architect data integration patterns using Azure Databricks

Implement medallion architecture

Establish data governance frameworks using Microsoft Purview
