JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Hybrid Role: In office one day per week. (Must reside within commuting distance to Harrisburg, PA)
Hours: 8 am -5 pm
The enterprise architect focuses on application architecture and is a leader for enterprise application design and development. This role sets enterprise architecture application standards, guidelines and principles across the Agency. The enterprise architect application leads efforts to conceptualize new and/or enhanced enterprise applications. The enterprise architect - application provides guidance to application architects in the Agency.

- Multi-tasking is a must as there will be many solutions in flight simultaneously
- Hands-on AWS Experience including willingness to stay current in quickly developing landscape.
- Experience in some near-term solutions a plus:
- Migration from a mainframe
- Telephony Solutions
- Business Process Solutions
- File/Data Retention Management
- Define the enterprise application landscape for the Agency and application solutions that meet business needs.
- Subject matter expert regarding application architecture.
- Define enterprise application architecture standards, guidelines and principles for the Agency.
- Ensure conformity of application standards across the Agency.
- Track and advise on emerging technologies and trends in the industry that could impact the services and business of the Agency.
- Advise on approaches to optimize business success.
- Advise on the design of technology-agnostic applications that deliver functionality/capabilities that satisfy corresponding business requirements.
- Define and develop enterprise application patterns.
- Participate in the Business Relationship Manager's annual review and planning of the Information Technology (IT) solutions.
- Lead the Agency in enterprise application discussions and strategies as they relate to application architecture quality, security etc.
- Collaborate with others to socialize architectural standards and processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems or Engineering preferred; 10+ years of IT-related experience; or the equivalent combination of knowledge, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of The Open Group Architecture Framework; Knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge; Knowledge of Loan Servicing; Relevant certifications preferred.
- Experience with architectural abstractions, integration and design patterns.
- Experience in creating and defining new architectural models and explaining complex problems and situations.
- Hands-on experience designing, building and supporting high-performing AWS applications.
- Expert understanding of distributed computing and development experience such as Simple Object Access Protocol, Representational State Transfer, Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition.
- Working knowledge of Application Program Interface Management.
- Expert understanding of AWS architecture.
- Expert knowledge of Web Services.
- Working knowledge of Software as a Service, Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, Desktop as a Service.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
