Eligibility: Candidates must reside in the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut)


Project Overview:

The project involves a multi-tier, service-oriented architecture for high-volume, scalable web applications using Java and other commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Java/J2EE applications following the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Develop and implement RESTful services, Spring Boot applications, and ORM-based solutions (Hibernate).
  • Write efficient, optimized SQL queries (preferably DB2 SQL, including PL/SQL).
  • Conduct unit testing using JUnit to ensure software reliability.
  • Work with Angular 13+ for front-end development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation, and software specifications.

Required Qualifications:


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).


Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Java-based software development.
  • Proficiency in Core Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST Services, and SQL (DB2 preferred).
  • 1+ year of experience in large-scale application development.
  • Healthcare, Medicaid, or Health Exchange experience is a plus.


Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Java builds tools, JUnit testing, and front-end technologies like Angular 13+.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
