Job Duties

As an entry level Java Programmer, work on multiple IT projects and has responsibilities in Analysis, Code, Test, and Deployment.
Performs new development, testing, deployment, enhancements and maintenance and and follows security best practices.
Prepare data requirements and program specifications that are complete and concise.
Prepare application documentation, user documentation and user training materials; perform systems analysis and design for moderately complex applications/systems; and conduct training as needed.
Confer with analysts, domain experts and users to understand needs and document requirements. Support systems that access Federal Tax Information.

Minimum Qualifications

Basic knowledge of Java related technologies and SQL; data systems; program coding and documentation; and IT security guidelines.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, analytical and computer skills.
Ability to write code and programs; update, repair, modify, and expand existing programs; perform work on multiple IT projects; support and maintain existing systems as required.
Interact effectively in a team environment; work independently, typically with strict deadlines, heavy workloads and changing priorities.

Additional Considerations

Experience working with JAVA, Eclipse, Spring, Hibernate, JBoss, and Subversion and/or related tools.
