Job Description :
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Network Design: Develop and design network architecture, including LANs (Local Area Networks), WANs (Wide Area Networks), VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), and other network components. Consider the organization's requirements, current technology, scalability, and future growth.
· Network Implementation: Plan and oversee the implementation of network solutions, including network hardware, software, and protocols. Coordinate with vendors, system administrators, and other IT staff to ensure a smooth deployment of the network infrastructure.
· Network Security: Implement security measures and protocols to protect the organization's network infrastructure from unauthorized access, cyber threats, and data breaches. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to network security.
· Network Performance Optimization: Monitor and analyse network performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and optimize network performance. Implement solutions to enhance network efficiency, reliability, and speed, including load balancing, traffic shaping, and Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms.
· Network Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity problems, network outages, and performance degradation. Perform regular network maintenance tasks, such as software upgrades, patch management, and hardware replacement.
· Network Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory. Document network changes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
· Network Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with IT managers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to develop long-term network plans and strategies. Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the network infrastructure aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
