Job Overview:

Client is seeking an experienced Product Owner Stress Testing to lead and manage key technology initiatives within regulatory compliance and risk management. This role requires expertise in large-scale process execution, regulatory engagements, and risk oversight within a financial institution. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the technology development lifecycle, risk controls, and regulatory expectations, with proven leadership and collaboration skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Lead and oversee Technology Phase 2 Consent Order milestones, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: Provide oversight and credible challenge to transformation leads, ensuring controlled execution of deliverables.
  • Audit & Quality Assurance: Review substantiation artifacts and validate action plan milestones before Internal Audit submission.
  • Control & Risk Oversight: Support technology product managers in quality review activities and ensure compliance with risk controls.
  • Escalation & Reporting: Monitor and escalate risks in a timely manner, ensuring transparency in reporting to senior management.
  • Process Improvement & Documentation: Prepare project scoping documents and ensure process efficiency to minimize audit reopens.
  • Collaboration & Advisory: Work closely with Compliance, Internal Audit, and Technology teams on regulatory inquiries and control matters.


Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience:
    • Proven leadership experience in Technology, Risk Technology, Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Regulatory Remediation.
    • Strong background in risk and control disciplines within technology processes.
    • Experience in business or risk function transformation within large financial institutions.
  • Knowledge:
    • Solid understanding of banking regulations and supervisory expectations for complex financial institutions.
    • Familiarity with the three lines of defense model and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strategic Leadership: Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate across multiple levels.
    • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong ability to assess risks, identify control gaps, and implement effective solutions.
    • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Ability to convey complex issues clearly and concisely to various audiences.
    • Process Improvement: Track record of implementing quality control frameworks and regulatory compliance enhancements.
