Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer specializing in Aruba and Palo Alto Firewall configuration to join our team. This role involves network design, configuration, documentation, and hands-on implementation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Aruba switches, routers, and access points, as well as proficiency in Palo Alto firewall configuration.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Aruba Network Configuration and Design:
    • Configure and design Aruba switches and routers.
    • Configure Aruba access points (APs).
    • Develop detailed documentation for network configurations and designs.
  • Firewall Configuration:
    • Configure Palo Alto firewalls, including policy settings.
    • Utilize knowledge of PA Prisma for advanced firewall configurations (a plus).
  • Network Services Configuration:
    • Configure DNS and DHCP settings.
    • Utilize SolarWinds for network management and monitoring.
  • Network Architecture:
    • Design and implement new Spanning Tree architecture across multiple sites.
    • Document both existing and new network architectures with detailed diagrams.
  • On-Site Implementation and Support:
    • Travel to various sites to assist with network-related installations.
    • Work with vendors and onsite technical resources to ensure successful implementation.

Secondary Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with network data switching and routing, particularly with Aruba switches.
  • Experience with configuring Palo Alto firewalls and related security policies.
  • Understanding of DNS/DHCP configuration and management.
  • Proficiency with SolarWinds for network monitoring and management.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Extensive experience with Aruba switch and router configuration.
    • Proficiency in configuring Aruba APs.
    • Strong knowledge of Palo Alto firewall configuration.
    • Familiarity with DNS and DHCP configuration.
    • Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds.
  • Additional Knowledge:
    • Experience with PA Prisma (preferred but not required).
    • Understanding of spanning tree protocols and network architecture design.
  • Professional Skills:
    • Ability to create detailed network documentation and diagrams.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, vendors, and on-site technical resources.
