This role is focused on production support for a critical 24x7 system, requiring extensive experience in this type of role. On-call rotation is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more components of an environment, application, or platform.
  • Independently develop clean, maintainable, testable code for assigned work; perform peer code reviews.
  • Participate in ensuring overall health, performance, and availability of systems; actively resolve system and client experience impacts for one or more environments, applications, or platforms.
  • Embrace mentorship and training from senior engineers.
  • Provide continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and/or improve efficiency.
  • Apply recommended information security standards when developing code and seek validation.
  • Assess the technical viability of new and emerging products and technologies.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts for developing code.
  • Identify potential standards and best practices.

Must Haves:
  • Extensive production support experience supporting a critical 24x7 application.
  • Hands-on keyboard support role experience.
  • Support off-hour releases, weekend releases, and on-call support.
  • Extensive Oracle Database experience.
  • Expert-level experience with writing SQL statements.
  • Operating System support experience (Linux/AIX).
