Job Description: Software Engineer IV -
The State of Wisconsin is seeking a Software Engineer IV with extensive software engineering experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in software development and will leverage their expertise to plan and achieve goals, working on complex IT analysis and programming tasks with creativity and independence. This role involves assisting the Project Leader/Manager in assembling project plans, directing and monitoring team efforts, identifying resource needs, conducting quality reviews, and escalating issues when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Leader/Manager in assembling project plans and teamwork assignments.
- Direct and monitor work efforts, ensuring timelines and functional quality standards are met.
- Identify resource needs and conduct quality reviews.
- Handle complex IT analysis and programming tasks with creativity and independence.
Required Skills:
- CA-Gen Development: 10+ years of experience.
- DB2 Client Server Environment: Extensive experience in DB2, specifically in a client/server setup.
- DB2 Design: 4-7 years of experience in designing DB2 systems.
- Leadership Roles: 3+ years in leadership roles such as Project Manager, Architect, or Lead.
- Complex Software Development Projects: Proven track record in handling large, complex software development projects.
Nice to Have Skills:
- REST Web Services
- Project Coordination/Assistance: Experience in planning, resource planning, and status reporting.
Interview Process:
- Interview via Microsoft Teams with the camera on.

Qualifications:
- Extensive Experience:
- 10+ years as a lead on CA GEN solutions.
- 4-7+ years in DB2 client/server environment solutions.
- 3+ years in leadership roles (Project Manager, Architect, Lead).

- At least 2+ of the following:
- REST Web Services.
- Project Coordination/Assistance roles, including planning, resource planning, and status reporting.
