Software (Java and PL/SQL) Interface Developer (Level 4)

Job Description
Candidate will be an active member of the Interface team, developing/maintaining Java and PL/SQL code associated with the Defense Civilian Human Resources Management System (DC HRMS). The DCHRMS system houses HR data associated with Defense Civilian Personnel. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, have an inquisitive attitude, and successfully solve problems. Candidates must have the ability to interact and work collaboratively with a diverse set of users (developers, testers, customers, team leads, management, system users, etc.).
The DCHRMS program will initiate the Public Trust investigation.
Primary Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and analyze back-end applications, database interaction, and/or data conversion routines.
• Perform code analysis to optimize code performance
• Perform data collection/analysis, report results, and formulate recommendations.
• Self-direct work based on higher level task descriptions.
• Work within a team structure while also self-managing daily tasks.
• Influence designs and code techniques for individual and team use.
• Collaborate with customer and senior management as directed.
• Collaborate with customer product owners daily as required.
• Demonstrate delivered products to customers at scrum demonstration events.

Basic Qualifications
• Primary skill: Java
• Knowledge of Oracle database and development tools and languages (PL/SQL, SQL Plus, JDeveloper, Java, Oracle Application Framework [OAF], and Weblogic/JBoss JSF).
• Experience with Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM)Cloud.
• Experience using REST web services.
• Experience working with and configuring DevSecOps pipelines and using associated tools such as Jenkins, Subversion, Gitlab, Jira.
• Experience using Scrum/Agile practices.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work remotely while interacting with other team members
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 8-12 years related programming experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience extracting data from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Experience with Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL)
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) Reports
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Linux skills.
• Understanding of data modeling methodologies.
