Role: Teradata (L2,L3) Support Engineer

Client: Confidential

Location - Remote (Dallas, Texas)

Rate : $50 on c2c

Must have Teradata, GCP and ETL

Ratings: Teradata - 10/10 | GCP - 5/10 | ETL - 5/10

 

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Understand the EDW system, artifacts & processes to handle the project deliverables.
  • Good understanding of production support process
  • SLAs are very critical, response and resolved incident tickets with in SLA
  • Participate in the KT sessions from development team as part of transition to support
  • Participate in weekly production support deployment activities
  • Closely monitor incident tickets assigned to EDW support till the closure
  • Flexible to work after hours and over the weekends as needed for the support
  • Support experience with GCP

 Required Qualifications

  • Overall 10+ years of IT experience 
  • Overall 5+ years of experience in production support in Data warehousing ETL projects.
  • Hands-on experience on the tools listed under the Primary Skills column.
  • Good work experience with Teradata & utilities
  • Must understand software development methodologies including waterfall and agile.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Data warehouse & Data Modeling Concepts
  • Database Tools & Utilities - Teradata, BTEQ, TPT, FastLoad & SQL Queries
  • UNIX/Shell scripting
  • Job Scheduling – Maestro, Control-M 
  • Support experience with Google Cloud Platform & Google Cloud Platform ETL Pipelines.
