About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced WebSphere Commerce Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Orders, Payment, Promotions, Catalog, and Member components, specifically with WebSphere Commerce (WCS) versions 7 and 8. This role requires a deep understanding of REST-based API development and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced B2C environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development and Management:
    • Develop and maintain WebSphere Commerce applications focusing on Orders, Payment, Promotions, Catalog, and Member components.
    • Participate in the build and delivery of technical capabilities for the commerce application.
    • Ensure high performance and availability of applications through effective design and implementation.
  • Installation and Configuration:
    • Install, configure, and manage WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
    • Implement and manage WebSphere Portal Server.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the enterprise architecture team and development teams to deliver robust WebSphere solutions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Research and Development:
    • Engage in ongoing research, development, and testing of WebSphere technologies.
    • Stay updated with the latest developments in WebSphere and related technologies.
  • API Development:
    • Develop and integrate REST-based APIs to enhance the functionality of WebSphere Commerce applications.
    • Ensure secure and efficient API integrations with external systems.
  • B2C Environment:
    • Adapt and respond effectively to the fast-paced demands of a B2C environment.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our commerce platform to meet business goals.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience with WebSphere Commerce (WCS) 7/8.
  • Strong expertise in developing and managing Orders, Payments, Promotions, Catalog, and Member components.
  • In-depth knowledge of installing, configuring, and managing WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
  • Proficient in REST-based API development.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced B2C environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with WebSphere Portal Server implementations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture and integration patterns.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
