Key Responsibilities:
* API Design and Development:
* Design, develop, and implement APIs using SAP API Management.
* Create REST and SOAP APIs to integrate between SAP and non-SAP systems.
* API Lifecycle Management:
* Manage the entire API lifecycle, including creation, testing, deployment, debugging
* Ensure APIs are well-documented and best practices are followed for usability and security.
* Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
* Monitor API performance and usage metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
* Implement caching, and other optimization techniques to enhance API performance.
* Security and Compliance:
* Implement security measures for APIs, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
* Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
* Certificate type authentication for APIs
* Collaboration and Support:
* Work closely with development, operations, and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve API-related issues.
* Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Proven experience in SAP API Management and SAP Integration Suite.
* Strong understanding of API design principles and best practices.
* Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, or Python.
* Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
* Familiarity with security protocols (OAuth, SSL, SAML) and API management tools.
