Primary job duties/responsibilities:
- Increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. This project will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and Implement Communications Components, Applications and Services
- Partner with the Satellite, Networks and Security engineering teams
- Design components, services, and relevant data models
- Collaborate with engineers across the organization to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate critical e-Commerce software for Kuiper.
- Work on initiatives building e-Commerce functions on AWS infrastructure and help implement best practices for software development.
- Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems.
- Help engineers and build solutions which are required for provisioning and operating an Internet service providers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Expectations mentioned verbally by client directly: Experience managing Java based SDKs, AWS based development, API design, JSON
Nice-to-Have skills: Oracle Financial Services (EBS)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience integrating Financial Application and Accounting solutions (e.g. Oracle)
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Java based SDKs, AWS based development, API design, JSON translates to having these skills:
- Java programming Language – MVC Framework
- AWS Cloud native skills and AWS tooling
- API creation/JSON – Restful webservices and possibly GraphQL
- API Gateway knowledge – AWS API Gateway
After looking into the FAA – Skills required should be:
- Oracle EBS (E-Business Suite) financial modules which include:
- Understanding General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts - Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management
- Database management skills as we discussed yesterday:
- Oracle SQL, PL/SQL – procedural querying knowledge for reports, triggers and stored procedures
- Understanding ETL – data processing
ERP
- Understanding Oracle Business Process – accounting, bookkeeping, financial statements, compliance.
- Includes reporting – balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements
- Rest and SOAP are required for web services
- Data conversion and management (Financials data management)
Must have financial industry background and have strong knowledge of Oracle EBS/Financial Application and Accounting Solutions.
