Position: SDET Software Development Engineer in Test
Location: (Okemos, MI) 2 days/week onsite
Duration: 12+ months

Job Description:

  1. 10+ years of experience
  2. Responsible for requirement gathering from business and product owners to perform database testing.
  3. Performed functional and nonfunctional requirements gathering, performance benchmarks & workload modelling based on historical data.
  4. Requirement gathering, creating Test Plan, writing LR scripts, creating test data, executing tests and working on test Closure.
  5. Triaging the performance bottleneck using Splunk and App dynamics (or something similar).
  6. Coordinating with the development team and downstream to resolve the performance bottleneck.
  7. Creating Test Closure.
  8. Analysis & share the results and recommendation
  9. Perform Manual and Automated Testing using Selenium Web-Driver, Junit Cucumber Framework, Maven, Java, etc.
  10. Involved in creating Automation Framework from scratch using programming language Java.
  11. Experience in SQL, PLSQL to create complex queries, SQL Joins, Stored Procedures, and Triggers.
  12. Performed API Testing and created workflow.
  13. Utilized a variety of techniques for problem identification, issue documentation, and resolution support. Generated the defect report in graphical format utilizing TFS.
  14. Responsible for defect tracking and management matrices using TFS.
  15. Initial validation of Test environment.
  16. Strong knowledge in Defect reporting and Documentation

Qualifying Criteria

  1. Java
  2. APIs- Need someone to dig in and understand why the error code
  3. Automation- (Selenium or other tools)
  4. Manual testing/business domain experience
  5. Database- (be able to understand indexes and tables)
  6. Logic be able to take the initiative and find the WHY
  7. UI's- and validation
  8. Communication: 10/10
