IT Security Architect IV

Our client seeks a seasoned IT Security Architect IV to develop and document System Security Plans (SSPs) for suppliers and enterprise applications. This role involves performing security assessments, ensuring compliance with NIST 800-53 and COV SEC530 standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify and address potential risks.


Key Responsibilities

  • System Security Plan Development: Create detailed SSPs by gathering and analyzing input from various business units and suppliers.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct interviews to understand system components, operations, and security requirements.
  • Security Assessment: Evaluate responses to security control questions, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to COV SEC530 and NIST 800-53 standards.
  • Risk Management: Document security measures, assess risks, and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Mitigation Strategies: Provide actionable guidance and propose enhancements to security controls.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization to address security and compliance needs effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years in senior-level IT security roles.
  • Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of security architecture design and implementation.
  • SSP Experience: 5+ years of experience drafting System Security Plans and performing security assessments.
  • Compliance Knowledge: 4+ years of expertise in NIST 800-53 and related compliance frameworks.
  • Risk Management Skills: Strong understanding of risk assessment, security controls, and compliance processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for working with diverse teams.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional certifications in security architecture or compliance frameworks.
  • Experience implementing advanced risk mitigation strategies.

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $49 $52/hour
  • Annual Equivalent: $97,760 $108,160
