Job Title: Security Engineer
Location: Rosslyn, VA

The Client. is a leading software development company specializing in application modernization, system integration, content management solution, and business process automation within the federal government.
The Client is looking to hire a Sr. Software Engineer specializing in databases for its Research & Development team.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Automates database processes to support the CICD pipeline.
  • Develops automation scripts for database versioning, migration, and backup.
  • Ensures database automation is integrated with other automation tools in the pipeline.
Technical Requirements:
  • Expertise in DevSecOps principles, tools, and technologies including CAST, Jenkins, SonarQube, NexusIQ, Nexus Repository Manager, RedHat Client, etc.
  • Proficient in writing automated test cases and utilizing testing tools (Gauge, Selenium, etc.)
  • Experience designing automated deployment solutions, integrating them with CI/CD, and utilizing deployment tools (Ansible, OpenShift, Liquibase, etc.)
  • Experience with several programming languages (C#, Java, Python, C++, Groovy, etc.)
  • Experience working with various version control systems (Gitlab, Github, Git)
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Puppet)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift) and container security best practices.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to collaborate with development and operations teams
  • CAST Certified
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Must have a security clearance- Secret or Top Secret
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Experience working in Agile scrum team environment is highly desired
  • Experience with JIRA and other Atlassian tools is desired but not required
  • Microsoft certifications in applicable and related areas preferred
